I'll be showcasing my newer work, some of my older works and links to websites of favorite bead artists and sites of interest to crafters, artisans and artists.
Work on this website will be ongoing for a while, but I hope to have it up and running within a month or two. Stay tuned.
I was graciously accepted into the El Zócalo Artists Co-op in November of 2013 and have started showing my beadwork at the Gallery on the plaza in old town Las Vegas, NM. I also have some pieces showing at the Ranch at Taos Gallery in Taos, NM. Being accepted into such a gathering of talent has been a great boon to my creative side. I'll be including some pictures of the gallery and it's various artworks from time to time.
I'm not a big fan of artist's statements, but I'll try and give a bit of a bio here. My name is Sarah Frazier. I've been involved in what I consider handwork, especially beadwork but also leather work, sewing and knitting for decades. For many years, the crafting took a backseat to the proverbial 'day job' (actually a night job for most of my life). Now I've decided to take some time to explore the more creative side of myself and spend as much time working with my hands as possible. I'm reluctant to name myself an artist, but do feel that much of what I do is crafting in a creative manner. I strive for freedom of expression. I enjoy making statements in my work, but the statements are free for interpretation by the viewer.
